Mazda MX-5 is good for a million copies

Something that only the greats is to be awarded.
You should what is good to do to a million cars of one model to build, and half-Autoblog worships the MX-5. The affordable achterwielaandrijver is since 1988 on the market and is currently in its fourth generation. And today it ran in Japan number of 1,000,000 of the band.
While Mazda actually four different cars, has taken in order to achieve this number, it is indeed a great achievement. Don’t forget that the MX-5 is not a volumemodel as the Golf, Astra or Megane, but that it is a niche product. A niche product to something that is more affordable than what the competition has to offer, but other than we sometimes want to believe, is the MX-5 not a necessity.
His great example, the MGB, came to 512.112 copies sold. The only other sports car that comes close in terms of sales is the Porsche 911. Of these, there were at the 50th anniversary in 2013 already 820.000 sold, but the number 1,000,000 is late, probably still quite a wait. I could be wrong, but I can no other sports car-think that’s more popular and, therefore, the million has already been tapped. Correct me especially in the comments…*

*Yes, indeed, there are American sports cars that the million already achieved, thanks @drip tray. Known is, for example, the one-millionth Corvette from 1992, that a few years back is still in a sinkhole and disappeared.
