Our kentekenconnaisseur sought it out.
There is in the Netherlands a large crowd of petrolheads who like to have a registration certificate with the magic letters ‘ALPINA’ would like to have. This is logical, because the company from Buchloe makes since 1965 name with the improve of BMW’s. Alpina are actually never a disappointment.
Last week went to Wouter on the road with the B3 (VIDEO), and a few days later flowed Autojunk filled with Alpina on the BMW Sharknose Meeting in Barneveld were photographed. We are in the last days a bit of Alpina-minded, we wonder how many of these things there actually are in the Netherlands around.
That question is difficult to answer, but Jasper of Kenteken.tv made an attempt this on the basis kentekenregistraties to find out, and came to a total of 293 . Not a bad score. It should be noted that the earliest Alpina’s and the models here dwell on foreign plates are not included, but it gives a nice impression.
Below the breakdown per model.

If we Alpina-registrations in relation to the year of construction, then we get the following distribution. 1998 was a peak year, as it turns out. Furthermore, it is notable that the vast majority of the Dutch Alpina’s blue in color (126), followed by black (72) grey (47).
