Especially for those who missed minimalistic Lumix GX1 and considered relevant GX8 too fancy, Panasonic has released its smaller version GX80 (in North America this model is called GX85). It is a little lighter, more compact, more restrained in design and a bit cheaper than the GX8.

The basis of the camera lies a 16-megapixel Live MOS sensor without a low pass filter, borrowed from the original model. Besides, the novelty boasts a new electro-mechanical shutter. Now it is driven by an electromagnet, which reduces image blur from clicking the shutter. It is possible to talk about Troubleshooting for a known problem GX8.

The camera also will offer the integrated stabilizing system in which mechanical (sensor-shift) operates in parallel with the optical (floating elements in the lens design) and gives a gain of up to 4.5 degrees of exposure. Lumix GX8 GX80 repeats from the functional point of view, including allows you to shoot 4K video at up to 30 frames per second. But, unfortunately, about the beginning of sales in Russia are not yet known.
Leica M-D (Type 262)
- Briefly about the model: the first mass digital dalemark without built-in screen
- The beginning of sales: may 2016
- Competitors: none
- Price: $5995
If a digital rangefinder camera seemed to be too dissimilar to the classic film “Heads”, then you now have a Leica M-D. This is a real digital camera that has no screen. At all. This was also the anniversary of the Leica M Edition 60, however, it was released in very limited quantities, and M D is the mass model.

The absence of a screen, of course, touted as the main advantage. You don’t have to be distracted by playing with the settings and reviewing footage. Pictures will be after the fact. On the rear panel of the Leica M-D there’s a mechanical selector sensitivity. Just like once used to set the sensitivity of the film to a built-in light meter worked correctly.

From a technical point of view, the camera repeats the digital Leica M. it has the same 24-megapixel sensor with the same maximum sensitivity (ISO 6400). The camera shoots only in RAW format (namely, the open Adobe DNG), and from the settings allows only the choice of shutter speed, aperture and sensitivity. In General, we have the analog of digital cameras.

Hasselblad H6D
The camera also has a built-in Wi-Fi module, two slots for memory cards (SD and CFast), a new touchscreen display on the 920 thousand dots and, of course, the new powerful processor. Shutter speed can be set in the range from 60 minutes to 1/2000 seconds, and sensitivity – from 64 to 12800 units. Because the shutter is actually in the lens, Hasselblad has updated the existing range of optics, in order to adapt it to shorter exposures. But, more importantly, now medium format camera can shoot 4K video and do interval shooting (time-lapse) in full resolution.

Of course, the cost of new cameras is just outrageous. For the case with 50-megapixel sensor without a lens will have to pay 26 thousand dollars, and for 100-megapixel – more than 30 thousand. However, for owners of older systems, Hasselblad traditionally will operate the program trade in.
