Porsche ontwikkelt 911 voor optimaal rijplezier
Fine rumors from Stuttgart: Porsche would be a 911, a developing that has the focus on pure driving pleasure on the open road.

And the reason seems obvious: Porsche expected maximum 2000 Porsche Cayman GT4’s to sell, but has already had about 3500 orders written. It seems that orders are not even all of them to be able to comply due to a lack of production capacity. And so would Porsche behind the scenes hard work on a made for the lovers of pure driving pleasure.

According to Autocar, would Porsche working on a 911 that has the focus on driving pleasure on the open road. A kind of “911 GT” that is not developed for maximum speed and optimal grip. No, the 911 GT must have a manual gearbox, a chassis that’s focused on maximum feel and an optimal interaction with the driver. Not the (semi-)racefocus of a GT3 (RS) but a optimal fun factor for it on public roads. Probably this will be equipped with a narrow body and not too wide ties, in a setup that should ensure that the car on the limit is a fine balance, without limit impossible is far away. In terms of motorization is thought to be the 3.8 of the 991 GT3 in almost equal specs.

The recently recorded “GT5”badge, it probably won’t be, since that is a 911 under the Cayman GT4. The above-mentioned concept, is probably more similar to a 911 Club Sport, but that is more of a track focus, so probably with a different title.

It remains to wait and see if the rumors truth prove to be, the expectation is that the next year will take until we for the first time will get acquainted with this new flavour 911. We can until that time to think about the name. Is there an old model name dusted off for this line? Maybe the 911T or 911R? Or do you have better ideas?
