Let’s say you have 300,000 pegulanten in your pocket burning to be published, is the iconic supercar or the segment-defining super-SUV?
Earlier today we gave you all an unlimited budget to get some fun out of searching for your fantasy garage. So roll we roll, no thanks. Nevertheless, we present now a slightly more difficult choice. No, not between your right arm and your left, but between these two fine twaalfpitters that you are on Dutch plates, currently with three tons back. The Countach because that the last few years greatly increased in value and the Bentayga because some Dutch plates are quite expensive.
In corner one: the Lamborghini Countach. A classic that every autoblogger you love everything about it would be able to tell, but that we have already in detail, so a new epistle remains here for now omitted. What is relevant is, given the choice that we submit; it is a 25th Anniversary edition. The least sought after variant, because the extreme pure Gandini design of the LP400 in this case volbehangen with a plethora of spoilers, skirts and other types of grids. The sleek Countach from the early ’70s was a staalgeworden icon of what the ’80s with man and machine did. A little pity? Yes. A hard dealbreaker? To me, not per se, but that you may conclude for yourself. The purists should, however, keep in mind that such a brilliant early LP400 about the triple should produce the three tonnes of which ‘our’ red copy for sale at Louwman Exclusive, must yield.
In corner two: the Bentley Bentayga. A big SUV that has a BMW X5 or a Range Rover relegated to modest boodschappenauto. The W12 under the hood delivers great performance, but as @wouter reported when he took a walk around the block went with the Benta of Jeroen’s primarily a haven of peace. The idea of everything can, but nothing must. Yes, the Bentayga is technically a type of Audi Q7 like the A3 is a Golf, but in one way or another seems to be the car there trouble-free to get away. By the opulent luxury in the ridiculously nicely finished interior has that little factoid as much value as what exactly again the speed limit on the road where you are driving. Oh, and another note from Leeuwarden on the deep-pile doormat. So be it.
Below you will find a large gallery of the Lambo in question and the press plates of the Bentayga. For pics of the Bentayga’s in the wild, you can go here. The carers are all ready in the ring for the blood-blotting, ready…fight!
