Design and construction
Headphones have a minimalistic design and full metal body. Two silver “droplets” of anodized aluminum combined with black liners and black connectors of the same cable. True Zen, nothing more – even the brand name does not appear on the headset. The only thing that slightly disturbs the harmony is barely visible letters L and R indicating left and right channels.

The cable that comes quite thick, rubber coated and frankly cumbersome block 3.5 mm connector. This may create some inconvenience when using the headphones paired with your smartphone – especially if the smartphone is in the front pocket of jeans. Thick plastic block constantly clings to the edge of the pocket, when you need to get the device. However, the cable is detachable, so if you want this disadvantage can be eliminated.

Remote control to adjust the volume on the cable is not provided. There is only unit with microphone and answer button for the call, which is additionally responsible for Play/Pause function. Despite the fact that Panasonic put in a set of as many as four sets of silicone earbuds, for me, it was not enough to ensure a perfect fit. The headphones are quite heavy, and with the liners, which are best approached me in size, they are very poorly kept. It was no problem to listen to music in the sitting position, but on the go I constantly had to correct headphones. The problem was solved by the purchase of additional in-ear earbuds (longer than standard), but still I admit that it is a personal anatomical feature.
Listening experience
But after listening I felt an uncomfortable fit with complete ear – it’s kind of a minor detail, which is easy to accept. Remember the incredibly expensive in-ear headphones Sony XBA series-Z? Panasonic HDE10 sound very similar way and be less demanding of the sound sources. For example, when listening to the same tracks with iPhone or HTC One A9 new Panasonic sounds much nicer and gives a more deeper bass.
At maximum volume these headphones impossible to hear. And not because they start to wheeze, and because the volume capacity is very high – this level is physically very difficult to endure. It is possible to note subtle metallic hue, which appears in volume 90% and above. But I’m willing to bet that most of you and 70% will be enough with a large margin.

Active noise control in HDE10, of course not, and soundproofing depends on the specific ear. If we talk about the set of sets, then in the Moscow subway comfortable to listen to music can already 40-50% of the volume. The external noise practically does not penetrate into the ears. I really liked how HDE10 manifest themselves in extreme kinds of electronic music (dubstep, techstep, Neurofunk), in hard rock and metal. Fans of similar genres often complain of not enough “fat” bass, even with headphones Monster and Beats, but here is just what you need. But most importantly, in other genres the bass is not clearly begins to dominate – you listen to lightweight alternative, trance, techno, Russian rock, ambient and whatever anything up to the classics. Surprisingly balanced sound. When you connect a higher-quality sources (player Fiio X3 second generation) sound slightly transformed for the better – becomes a little more detail, but talk about a huge difference is still not necessary.

HDE10 Panasonic – headphones not cheap. In USA they ask for 200 more dollars, but in this price range, they look very confident. In my opinion, they can be compared with more expensive models, for example, with the flagship in-ear Sony XBA-Z5.
