13 may 2011 in India was launched on the supercomputer SAGA–220 performance, 220 teraflops. This project is still actively used by the Indian space research organization (mainly for simulation of hydrodynamic processes). In total, the supercomputer has more than four hundred Quad-core Intel Xeon processors and the same amount of GPU NVIDIA Tesla 2070, connected by high-speed bus. It is noteworthy also that the SAGA–220 was designed by the Indian Space centre Vikram Sarabhai (Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre). Before his appearance the most productive computer of India was Eka HP with a peak performance of 132 teraflops.

13 may 1950 saw the debut of the first race of the world championship in a class Formula-1. Racing series kicked off at Silverstone, which was built on the site of the airfield for the British bombers.
