Forward, along with the new NSX with V10 that we never got.
The Argento Vivo was by the designbazen of Pininfarina built in 1995 to the men of Honda into the in the production of this juicy cabrio. In the first instance, there was a 2.5-liter five cylinder under the hood, that every Nm in the direction of the rear wheels fired. Thus, we are not there yet, because the two-tone carriage (paint in combination with polished aluminium) is, of course, the true eye-catcher.
As the title suggests, it went all different. Honda went to work on the development of the S2000, which was obviously a bit tamer than this concept car*, while the Sultan of Brunei on his hips. The man ordered four Argento Vivo’s at a price of more than $ 2 million per piece.
For a silly vijfcilindertje you the Sultan, however, not out of his bed, drumming and so were his cars based on the current Mercedes SL600, but with a 7.3-liter V12. Also the chassis and the transmission were of German manufacture. Not a bad idea when you consider that that thick block of over 550 hp uitbraakte and to a top speed of over 280 km/h.
In the (custom!) interior made Pininfarina extensive use of carbon and natural leather. Reportedly, the Sultan still two (probably neglected) copies in his possession, but it is generally known that the man does not have the public eye tolerates in his garage sheds full of supercars.
And that’s sin. Because this is absolutely a very nice car. A few years ago there was actually a prototype of the Argento Vivo for sale. In bits and pieces admittedly, but a nice project for sure.
*no bad word about the S2000. Let pitchfork and torch quiet in the barn.
