He will you may not be immediately familiar, but the above Aston Martin is really special car which is the brand ever made.

This is the Aston Martin’s Atom Concept Car: a one-off from 1939. Not direct the best years for a new car to launch, but there thought Gordon Sutherland happy otherwise. Although in that period, even pots and pans were melted down because of world war II, the then owner of Aston Martin with the smallest, lightest, and fastest saloon which at that time, he could build.

Sutherland used the Atom mainly private, and drove more than 160,000 kilometres, until the oil ran out because of the war. The Atom has lost nothing of its appeal, and convinced David Brown after the war of to Aston Martin to take over. The Atom has also had much influence on the later cars from the British manufacturer, such as the DB1, DB2, DB2/4 and DB3.

The Atom changed over the past 49 years, only one owner. The opportunities to buy are on the fingers of one hand to count. Yet we still managed auction house Bonhams not to the Atom to be sold at the Goodwood Festival of Speed of 2014. The asking price is unknown, but what would you have for this piece of British automotive history?
