What? 99%?! Mistake for sure… Nope, no mistake: really no one buys even an Opel Ampera or Chevrolet Volt.
Just we got the registratiecijfers of eco-friendly cars over the first half of the year. Put this against the six months prior to that, and what is most striking is the complete slaughter of the GM plugins. Between January and June 2014 were 9 Ampera’s number plate set, and 0 Chevrolet Volts. The half-year were two models is still good for 2.126 registrations (1.556 to 570).
Of course, it should hereby be considered that the last half of 2013, a huge boom of electrified registrations knew. The Tesla Model S, for example, fell also from 1.193 to 600 registrations, but I do not think, therefore, the crisis erupts in Palo Alto.
Nevertheless, it is indicative of how the fiscal policy is a decisive stamp on the figures press. Last year the GM cars have 0% tax, now it is 7% on to be paid, and everyone leaves him alone (and for those that have one is brutal, but the charging cable stolen, shame!). The same applies to the Outlander PHEV, which, however, still be used as a malle continues to sell. What does that say about the Ampera?
Fortunately, Opel not to complain. Across the board, puts the brand in terms of sales in the first half of the year was head and shoulders above the competition. Check out the rest of the sales figures from elektroland on Groen7.nl.
