In this class, has a Peugeot is always a strong offer. Certainly the predecessors in the form of the 205 and 206 were very popular.

At the beginning of 2006 came the 207 to the market, which in 2012 was followed by the 208. The Peugeot 207 is still in production, but in the Netherlands, only the SW-version (drive) and the CC version (coupé-cabriolet) are still available. In 2009, the Peugeot 207 is getting a facelift.

By adding more security features, the 207 is much heavier than its predecessors. The smallest engine (1.4 with 75 hp) is not the best choice for regular snelweggebruik.

Offer used cars

  • At AutoScout24, 1700 Peugeots 207 to purchase.
  • A quarter relates to the station: the 207 SW.
  • A small 14% convertible cars: the 207 CC.
  • 13% has a diesel engine.
  • Only 6% has an automatic gearbox.
  • Gray and black are in the majority, but there are also some green, red, yellow, and orange, 207 pages.
  • Less than 9% have a gps navigation system.
  • Prices start at 4,000 euros.

Pros

  • Space in the interior.
  • Good handling characteristics.
  • Large choice of engines.
  • Fuel-efficient diesel engines.

Issues

  • Timing chain 1.6 THP engines: characterized by chatter and diesel-sound (in the case of various petrol types). Can lead to serious engine damage if not promptly fixed.
  • 1.6 HDi diesel: timing belt should be replaced in time.
  • 1.6 HDi suffers from a (too) tight carterinhoud, that i.c.m. the EGR (-> soot-in-oil) and the turbohitte may lead to a gensneuvelde turbo’s and sometimes even motorcycles.
  • Oliebeurten not stretch and rather timely update. From 2008, here are adjustments for.
  • 1.6 Hdi: the plastic part of the dipstick may break off in the crankcase fall. They need to be removed to get the piece of plastic to remove.
