Vokswagen Polo GTI 3-deurs
We are used to our hatchbackjes with 3 or 5 doors to be able to buy, but the driedeursvariant lose so much ground, that several manufacturers, this delete.

It seems pretty simple: you have 1 design, where depending on the choice of the consumer 2 or 4 doors in place. But no: a 3-door car has longer doors, and so there must be a other body to be made. This costs money, so if the number of 3-door and sell low is the variant, duration, and so prefer to be deleted.

Renault did with the Clio, the fourth generation (the RS) is only there as a 5-door, and according to Reuters – that relies on internal sources – is Volkswagen doing the same with the next Polo. The current Wave (7) is still just as 3-door, and, perhaps, are the volumes here are high enough, but a 3-door Nissan Pulsar, for example, late in coming.

Renault Megane RS Trophy

Driedeurs variants are cheaper and eyes usually sportier (there is a reason why the hottest lead generally only as 3-door), five-door cars are pieces of more practical, both with boarding from rear seat passengers if get out of the driver into a tight parking spot. The average buyer does not want the hassle, and has, therefore, prefer 500 to € 1,000 more for a few extra doors.

Even MINI, the Cooper used only as 3-door made, brings now a variant with 5 doors (although we, the adult man would have a diet and a few yoga recommend before trying the MINI on the back seat to squeeze). Here will be the 3-door is still very difficult to maintain, but what about the Fiesta or the Corsa?
