De BMW-app voor de Apple Watch
Ha, there it is then: the first character of an intensive collaboration between BMW and Apple.

BMW is the first with an official car app for the brand new Apple Watch. It comes to the i Remote App for the BMW i3 and the i8, which previously appeared for various smartphones. The functions are therefore not new, but useful is definitely when you are on your watch you can check how full your battery is. Additionally, you can unlock doors, the temperature of the air to adjust, and horns, without the car in the vicinity.

In addition, the Germans also what other useful features built in, so you’ll soon be a charging station can be found and always know where your car is. That last is especially useful if you (like me) regularly forget where you were already parked.

BMW will probably be a quick competition to get on the smartwatch from Apple. Hyundai, for example, offers similar functionalities in a app for Android Wear, while there is also a (unofficial) Tesla-app in development.

We are curious what we automotief area further, Apple can be expected, because during the keynote tonight did CEO Tim Cook know that within not too long time forty cars to be equipped with CarPlay. All of the major brands would be on board, but the largest (Toyota) is missing. The Japanese give the preference to their own systems. In addition, also the rumors about a private car, but official news, we expect in that area for the moment.
