The Pop Art artist, remained with his tassels from the Silver Shadow and that is exactly why nobody seems to want to have.
Andy Warhol is one of the most famous artists of the twentieth century, but it was not immediately known as a big car enthusiast and even had no driving licence. His best-known fling on autogebied, of course, is the legendary painting of the BMW M1 Art Car, but also his Rolls-Royce, there should certainly essentially.
Warhol allowed himself to love driving around by his best friend, Jed Johnson, and other stars regularly behind the wheel crawled from the luxurious container. That is probably also the reason behind the low mileage, as these Rolls rolled since 1974, only 90.000 miles through the United States. The Silver Shadow is finished in Walnut over Mason’s Black, has a leather interior and is equipped with a 6.75-liter V8.
Warhol loved this sled until his death in 1987, after an art dealer George Meyer the car at an auction bought for 57.000 euros. The current owner offered the Rolls-Royce in the first instance, for 65,000 euro, but lowered the asking price two days prior to the closing of the sale to 62.000 euros. That also yielded no interested buyers, so it is not too late.
