Benzo pickup
Technically, it was the G63 6×6 to their first pickup, but the Germans are now planning for a model with a flatbed for the masses.

Mercedes has just about everywhere his fingers in, so also thick trucks (Actros), and of course, robust off-road vehicles like the Unimog. A pickup with a Mercedes logo is not there yet (or built Tata ever a pickup with a touch of Mercedes ML) and according to the Germans is the need of it, and so they ‘m to build.

Don’t expect the Ford F-150-competitor, but rather something that is against the VW Amarok, or perhaps the Toyota Hilux is positioned. In other words: a concept that is good worldwide late market, so trusted Benz to the WSJ.

Responsible for the model is the department of commercial vehicles, that the above sketch released. Expected sometime next year, a concept, perhaps around 2020, a full roll-out. Or we are being fooled, because it is, after all, already almost april 1st..

Oh, and we know the Viano Activity Concept from 2004??

Viano Activity

UPDATE (07-04): Just Mercedes rumours a quiet death to die, because the Germans confirm that there indeed is working on a midsize pickup. This is a collaboration with Nissan. The novice will use should be made of components of the Nissan NP300.
