King Sleeper: buy this BMW 316i with V8!

Oh look, a E30 BMW 316i for sale. But what is with that exhaust? And what we find under the hood?

This could be the sleeper of sleepers. Our cameraman Martijn sent us vanochten an ad for a BMW E30 316i, with a heart transplant where we secretly quite very pleased of. The bronzitbeigen 316i (by the owner renamed the 340i set), namely the M60B40 block from a E34 540i. This was combined with a vijfbak from a 530i and some other trinkets, which the 286 hp strong V8 working could be made in the E30.

Nice detail is the on the M-Sport steering wheel after the original, fabric interior. But the difficult feat in terms of sleeperness is perhaps the exhaust. It is equipped with a silencer of Schnitzer intended for an E36 M3. One of the two eindpijpjes is, however, cut and bent downwards so that he is hidden behind the bumper. The other nozzle has a fitting sierstukje, and that almost no one realize that it is a not entirely original 316i, in contrast to many other projects.

To everything decent on the road to keep is a H&R Cup suspension under the car and all the rubber bushings replaced with Powerflex ones. The stabi’s come from M-Technik. Also, there is a heavier braking system behind the original wheels. In 2012, it was all approved by TÜV (the German RDW) and the car number plate now, with a valid MOT from last september.

Fantastic project, with care, and now still available! For €12,500 euros you can have this sleeper on the nab. Tempting, right?
