We save substantially on our car-maintenance

The Dutch consumer, on average, still less on auto maintenance. In 3 years time, decreased spending by more than 25%.

About the reasons for this may be speculated to be, the fact is that garages are increasingly their best to do their sandwich, find. Last year, they paid drivers an average of 526 euros to maintenance and repair; in 2010, it was 670 euros (+27%). Young cars seem to be less and less need for maintenance.

In total we went in 2013, 8% less often for maintenance to the garage than the year before. This dealers and universal garages, neck-to-neck: the former, have 37% of the market and 40% of the turnover; the latter 35% to 38%.
