For some time, looked at the Spanish kit a bit jealous of their French colleagues and their superfast RS’messages. That they wanted to also. Now they have their meaning: the Madrid police has 2 purchased, including kevlar reinforced doors.

The purchase was part of a major revitalisation of the Spanish capital. A third of the entire fleet (274 cars and 84 bikes) was replaced, largely with locally-produced cars. Spain has already difficult enough, after all. Perhaps Renault the swift Meganes in the lucrative contract (€13.4 million lease over 4 years) has done.

The cars are of the ‘old’ type and so have 265 and not 275 hp. In case you’re wondering who that lady is in the center of all those photos: that is Anna Botella, mayor of Madrid.
