Meet the man who has everything.

In our country, the Japanese minivans never become very popular. Occasionally you still see a Suzuki Carry or Subaru Sambar, but they are still scarcer than in the 90s. Very different is that in Asia, where this kind of vans are still on every street corner. So also the Daihatsu Hijet that this King Artist hands has taken. The van looked tired and worn out after his active life as a ‘taxi’ for two hotels. The holes fell into the sheet metal.

You would be the van than can discharge to the demolition, you can also new sheet metal. And if you really know how to deal with hammers, chisels, and welding equipment, then you can of course also fun to make your Daihatsu a classic volkswagen mini bus. You have, no doubt, but even the moderately similar ombouwsetjes from Japan before, but that looks nothing like what our hero is ready to play.

That has every piece of sheet metal replaced by hand-beaten panels that look exactly like some decades back from the Volkswagen factory was rolling. Initially wanted the Thai to the original cabin to adjust, but that did not give the desired result and so was a completely new house beaten and welded. The end result is a very similar replica, which especially is even smaller than the already great original. Granted, the paintjob would be even better, but for the metalwork I can not do anything else than my hat decrease for this Thai.
