Last year was a particularly good year for the hybrids, whether or not with connector (wing doors), and analysts expect that in 2016 more (plug-in) hybrids will be sold in Europe. Everywhere, except in the Netherlands, of course.

Last year it benefited a lot of plug-in hybrids still 7 percent tax and are already halfway through the year, some models are already completely sold out. Excellent sales, which this year is once again fully collapse, of course. So, in the first two months of this year, exactly 43 Outlander phevs number plate set and found 47 Mercedes C 350 e’s their way to a boss. Paltry numbers, when you consider that there of the Mitsubsidie and the Benz last year, respectively 8.759 and 3.869 instances on the license plate were taken. Also the other plug-in hybrids score this year in their own country is bad, the best-selling stekkerauto’s were in the first two months of nota bene, the all-electric Tesla Model S and the Nissan Leaf.

That it is a sin to many millions, if not billions to put in the appeal of the cleaner cars then that measure equally rigorous to run, that may be clear. Especially because a lot of that stekkerauto’s after serving their lease contract disappear to foreign countries and their former producers in a dieseltje steps. If it still does not matter for the tax…

European success

Happy seem our fellow Europeans better to jump with the (plug-in) hybrids. Came the sale of such cars initially, but difficult outside of the Netherlands, now seems like the rise of the hybrid no longer has to stop. Last year were in Europe 283.260 gasoline-hybrids were sold, compared to 202.986 in 2014, 23.064 diesel-hybrids compared 21.993 a year earlier and 96.451 plug-in’s compared to a paltry 36.612 copies in 2014! The total European market for hybrids increased from 261.591 in 2014 to 402.775 copies. See, that puts flesh on the bones!

The highlights of 2014

We will look at the sale of stekkerloze hybrids, especially Toyota’s ridiculously good business. The first seven(!) models from the top 10 are a Toyota or Lexus. Also notable is the success of the NX, already proved earlier that this SUV was good for the sales of the brand. Conspicuously absent is Ford, which apparently not many customers in a Mondeo Hybrid managed to get while at the stekkerhybrides the C-Max Plug In shines by their absence.

In that segment, the Outlander PHEV proud to be in the lead, followed at some distance by the Golf GTE and the Audi A3 e-tron. Also notable is the presence of the i8 in this list. Of this expensive sports car, an absolute nichemodel, were there last year, less than 2.051 sold. And then we have the only about the sales in Europe. Still, as something we can only applaud.

It should come as no surprise to the analysts at LMC Automotive expect sales of hybrids in Europe in the coming years only will toenomen. Within three years they expect annual sales of 750,000 copies, writes Automotive News Europe. Personally, I would not be surprise if that voorspeling careful shows, now also volume models as the Toyota Prius plug-in and Hyundai Ioniq are eager to the market to go up. As long as other governments, but something smarter to deal with the stimulation of hybrids than the our…
