Come up with a backstory. Is one of your siblings a vampire and you let them bite you? Did your friend feed off you? The possibilities are endless. Put a band-aid on your neck or wrists to show that you’ve been bitten. If anyone asks about it say: “I cut myself by accident, ” and switch the subject. -

After a few days of your transition, start the act. Act more protective of your friends. If you have the chance to practice fighting, take it. Since dhampirs don’t need blood, there is no need to act drained. Try to make your reflexes faster too. If you have sibling,s shut them out (optional). Don’t change your personality over this step though. -
3
Keep a journal. Write about your changes and fears about being a dhampir. If you want people to notice, leave your journal somewhere close to the person you want to read it and hide while they read a few pages. Then walk in and grab the journal quickly. If they bring it up, say you don’t want to talk about it. -
4
Don’t act girly. If you are a girl, then act tough. Play hard in gym class and get dirty once in a while. Try to get a guy friend to hang out with. If you aren’t very athletic then don’t worry just try your best. People will notice and maybe help you out. -
5
Wear certain clothes. Avoid dresses and skirts. Wear darker clothing and running shoes. Wear pants and t-shirts rather than dresses and heels -

Develop verbal compliments and smart comebacks. Try to build people’s self-esteem up and help them whenever possible. If someone is mean to a family member or friend, then stand up to that person. Dhampirs are very protective when it comes to other people.
