Failing supplier requires Toyota to recall

By a very stupid, preventable error of a supplier of Toyota and its customers for the second time saddled with a recall. In the Netherlands the order of 17,000 cars worldwide, reportedly for millions.

It comes to a recall of very old models, that between 2000 and 2004 are produced. But well, Toyota wants no second GM and takes no risk. Earlier this year had to be the inflammation of one of the airbags to be replaced, and to determine where exactly the sent supplier Takata for a list of serial numbers. This was finished and then it was all peace and harmony. Right? Wrong.

Guess what: the list of serial numbers did not make sense, so should the same problem now for a second time be remedied. Over 17,000 of the total of 24.200 models need to go to the garage. When thick, 7.000 cars the mechanism is already replaced, so this need not, of course, yet again.

According to unconfirmed messages going around the world to 2.27 million Toyota’s, so we can say that we are glad are not responsible at Takata. That said someone ‘seppuku’?
