Spotted: R-event, the wet dream of every Volvo-fanboy

What Polestar is doing now/going to do, did Volvo’s R-division in the past, and the lovers get caught up in it but not talking about it. This weekend, they could have this time together, at the R-event in Utrecht.

Fans of Volvo, they are very funny men (and very occasionally, a stray female), and you’ll find they’re everywhere. The small Swedish brand has followers in abundance, certainly in the Netherlands, and on the random Autoblog/BNR-editors, you’ll stumble over it.

In our last redactieuitje in a subtropical swimming paradise, we also discovered that youngtimerspecialist Alwood a life-size “Volvo 4 Life” tattoo on his broad chest and a butterfly tramp stamp on the other side, but we promised no one to talk about that).

In that light, is it not very strange that the last R-meeting in the Netherlands a huge turnout, experienced, Volvo fanboys are even more faithfully than a pack of labradors; you can always rely on them. The 850R’s, various T5 R’s, and anything else they were out of the stable and toward the center of the country drove.
