Questions and Answers
If you’ve been to a party where everyone is in a relationship but you aren’t, you might be embarrassed or feel compelled to sit in a corner and talk to no one, solely to avoid the question “do you have a significant other?” and the pitying glances that ensue when you answer no. Chances are, there is at least one person that has the same problem as you at this party, so here’s how, if you can convince the person, to act like a couple.

Steps
-
1
Select your “husband/wife/boyfriend/girlfriend”. Make sure that they truly are single before you ask them. If you’ve come with a close friend of the opposite/same sex who would be willing to do something like this for you, even better! -
2
Try to do this before you tell anyone you’re single, otherwise you’ll be found out. -
3
Get to know your “partner’s” personality, their likes and dislikes, how they act, etc. This will require talking with each other with a few minutes, which, to people passing by, will strengthen the illusion of your “relationship”. -
4
You don’t have to be close to each other the whole party. Just try to act casual, and when you are together, introduce your “partner” to people. A good way to do the former is to observe how other couples are acting. -

The most important thing is: make it believable! Don’t feel the need to constantly kiss or sneak over to a corner in a mock attempt to “be alone”, especially if you don’t feel comfortable with either one.
