Nice guys at Ford USA. After the C-Max Hybrid are specified consumption appeared not to pick up, they came their angry customers to meet with monetary douceurtjes and an adjustment for the new year.
Complaining about unrealistic consumption figures is not new, also not in the USA. There is still a case against Honda on the Civic Hybrid. Ford received similar complaints to the ears, saw the storm already in place, and decided but not on fat cases to wait, but to take the lead.
According to the paper, hear the hybrid C-Max of 47 mpg (do the math yourself). This didn’t work at all, so were the Americans angry. In a pro-active response returns the brand with the blue oval to the purchasers $550, leasers get $325. The (current) 2013-models be adjusted to an average consumption of 43 mpg, and the 2014 model is on the kick is taken.
The latter (pictured above), to get longer gears (yay, a much slower acceleration and a dead feeling in high gears!), aerodynamic modifications and engine oil with less friction. A verbruikslabel follows.
Pretty funny actually, you run as a manufacturer by the legislature established test correctly, come here then, total ridiculous figures to roll out (you know that yourself, but yes, so is that test well once), and then you are the one who should be bleeding because that test is not realistic. Isn’t that crazy?
On the other hand: if you have a half a liter of beer to order, and this turns out to 0.4 liter, then you feel also sewn? Then why not with consumption figures? the wait is on the first Dutch cases. Try it out to 3.2 l/100 km in your schraapdiesel.
Update: Ford seems to be the verbruikslabel of the C-Max Hybrid based on testcijfers of the Fusion Hybrid, which is more aerodynamic. This explains part of the discrepancy.
