Alfa Romeo 4C
Wow, that is just too bad for the Americans. The Alfa Romeo 4C for that market is a sweet 100 kilograms weigh more than the European variant.

That left the large Fiat-boss, Mauro Pierallini know in an interview with Autonews Europe. A proper weight gain for a car that in Europe is only 895 kilograms in weight. As if you always have an extra person of Us size should be below it. Not exactly ideal for the handling and performance of the lightweight 4C.

Perallini explains that they are by the American legislation, a number of adjustments have to be done. For example, there are the overseas version and some aluminium reinforcements made to the carbon fibre chassis, and the crumple zone are designed differently. Also the petrol tank and pipes are in that version is replaced by an alternative species.

Best bizarre that all of these measures for a way to weight gain concerns. Had Alpha not slightly better, their best can do is to find lightweight alternatives? An increase of 11% is not nothing. Or would they just paint and they know damn well that the Americans only but continue straight on along Route 66? Anyway, we are glad that we, as Europeans, to a 240-hp strong beauty get including driver, still no ton. 0-100 in 4.5 seconds, and a peak of 260 km/h.

On the question of whether the 4C with a length of 3990 mm, secretly no Italian Lotus Elise, answer Pierallini in the affirmative nor in the negative. He admits that there are similarities. But, of course, he finds the 4C is much better than the Elise. Or is he right in has yet to be discovered. To my taste, in any case, however, more beautiful.
