A four-wheel drive electric car 145 pounds with a power of 135 hp, that is hard. Recordhard!
Just a week ago, we wrote about the record hardfietsen, that the TU Delft in the wait had dragged, now it is the turn of an electric car. Today, the students racing team of Delft namely the world record for acceleration of electric cars is broken. That happened at Valkenburg airport. The 24-year-old Marly Kuijpers of the team, was behind the wheel during the recordrit and yes, that is a woman. (via groen7.nl)
The previous record stood in the name of a racing team from Stuttgart, who did 2,68 seconds to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h. Our students did the however, in 2,15 seconds! That is faster than a Veyron. See how fast it goes: the MOVIE!
