Across the border is cheaper for petrol, which we know thanks to the many attention the last time all too well. The hole, however, seems to only get bigger, so a 20 cents/litre with Belgium and a whopping 28 cents with Germany.
According to an ANP post today increases the difference with our neighbours will soon go to 20 cents, because there is a price drop to 1,606 euros, it is expected that in the Netherlands (1,811 euros) by the heavy burden of taxation is not possible. We were looking for even the average German price for, with 1,539 euro is a lot lower.
This means that, depending on where you live, 12 to 17 euro per fill-up can save, provided you have a decent car with a 60 litre tank. Eventually, the damage is less than before, because the prices in the border areas are invariably below the recommended retail price, but this is offset by the cheaper drink immediately just across the border meegeshopt.
The question now is whether we should continue to complain about our high price of fuel, or they are just as self-evident need to accept. It does not seem likely that the government (despite cries of opposition, and TOYOTA) intends to do something about it, and seen the hole that is already in the budget is struck, that is also not illogical. In addition, lives the majority of the Dutch are not in the border, so for these majority of this debate, not the issue.
There are actually still people who with jerry cans work? In the early days I went as a small child sometimes with my grandfather, who then also in Germany two jerrycannetjes full tapped, but I see this today, actually nowhere.
