Mitsubishi has indicated this year, 7,000 Outlander phevs to be able to deliver. On the basis of 10,500 orders (for 2013) this means that there are about 3,500 customers, no 0%, but 7/8% tax liability on their electro-SUV have to pay.

The last time that we have with the Mitsubishi importer spoke, we expected in August more clarity. This clarity is a month earlier, because BNR reported just this story. For completeness, names we also like to get in touch with the following questions:

Anyone get this to 7,000 Outlanders?

The importer uses itself a strategy of ‘first come, first served. Really fair to early buyers the advantage to buy of course, but this is about the chain importer-dealer. How the dealer’s customers must know themselves, ‘advises’ the importer are dealers the same strategy to apply.

2014: afbestellen or sellout?

Again: this is between the dealer and the customer. This is the guiding principle what kind of contract is concluded (delivery in 2013, as a binding condition included?), and in addition, there is a difference between private and business customers. The importer could not indicate the extent to which the additional surcharge for customers leads to cancellations, since this information them in the long term from the dealers need to reach.

The situation is that there is August for two countries is produced in: Japan, and the Netherlands. In addition, Japan has its own recall of electrified vehicles, which is also extra workload at the factory.

What is exchanged against an Outlander PHEV?

Not very relevant, but a fun fact. This are for the most part 25% bijtellers with a considerable size. Logically, you get not a Aygo to a SUV, but instead of only D-segmenters (Passat Kombi, Mondeo Wagon, etc.) there seems to be also full-fledged SUV-stuff to come back: Q7’s, X5’s, and more of this. Yes, the crisis also stores in the Netherlands apparently.

Update: relatively uplifting news of Mutsubishi: they have something more Outlanders from Japan to know to recruit, over 78% of the buyers will get 0% tax liability.
