300ZX of 3000GT VR-4? Two great Japanese icons from the nineties. Which will you choose?

Both cars were during the nineties produced and sold. Both cars obtained a lot of praise for the sporting behaviour and progressive technology. Both a six-cylinder engine and both are (available with) a special form of four-wheel drive. Choices, choices.

Nissan 300ZX

The 300ZX Z32 had a V6 Twinturbo on board and resulted in an American version 304 hp. 0-96 km/h was 5.5 seconds, and the turboturbo 300ZX had a top speed of 250 km/h. The Jap had standard rear-wheel drive, but optional you could opt for the (then) revolutionary Super HICAS system all four wheels could steer. This technique made use of his own computer in place of the regular speed sensors in the car. The Z32 was produced from 1989 to 2000.

3000GT VR-4

The Mitsubishi between 1990 and 2001, produced in a range of flavours and designs. So was the quadricycle, also released as the Dodge Stealth. In Japan was the sports model crouched under the name ‘GTO’. Got the car in addition to the positive reviews of journalists also credit is due to his presence in the first Fast & Furious movie. Also was you a boss if you have a GTO had in Granturismo on the PlayStation 1. For this comparison, we take a ’99 3000GT VR-4 with that nice present spoiler. The V6 Twinturbo yielded 324 horsepower, and the car had an electronically-limited top speed of 250 km/h. A sprint to the hundred took a little more than five minutes to complete. The model had standard all-wheel drive, just like the 300ZX had a four-wheel steering.

Competition
Competitors of the two were the Toyota Supra, Honda NSX, Nissan Skyline and the Mazda RX-7. Both the 300ZX and the 3000GT, if the above models are hot in the import market. A copy in a spick and span original jacket can be a long search result. The zescilinders are relatively easy to breed and aftermarket parts are to the horizon available. In terms of looks choose I, the undersigned, for the 3000GT. As a small boy, this was for me the Ferrari from Japan. Sneak still.
