Ancient as 2011 Samsung Galaxy S II got the chance to update to the latest version of Android 6.0 Marshmallow. The sponsor of this attraction of unprecedented generosity began Cyanogen, the company behind the popular CyanogenMod firmware.
Recall, the company Samsung has long abandoned the support of his former leader, though he became one of the most popular Samsung smartphone in its history. Officially Samsung Galaxy S II is stuck at Android 4.1 Jelly Bean forever. Note that at the time the smartphone runs on 2.3 Gingerbread.
Now Cyanogen has presented everyone the first test build 13 CyanogenMod based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow, for the international version of Samsung Galaxy S II (GT-i9100). We will remind, in December, a test build of CyanogenMod 13 was presented for Samsung Galaxy S3 (i9300), flagship smartphone, released in 2012.
Note that early Assembly users should use at your own risk, provided “Nightly” firmware still have the status experimental.
