Yes, Mercedes is delighted with its modular MFA platform. They can even agree on what body styles to build.

Mercedes performs for some time now, the CLS Shooting Brake, and is seemingly not going to have one as a lifestyle wagon. C&D had a tête-à-tête with what ‘Benz execs’ which fell on that Mercedes on the basis of the CLA a shooting brake developing.

The CLS is the end result was very successful, but how the smaller CLA as a make-over will to endure is to wait and see. What we also don’t know is the time frame that Mercedes choose. A launch date was not mentioned.

Further info is that the CLA Shooting Brake would come in place of a possible SLA roadster, which is also on the model year MFA platform (A-Class, B-Class, CLA) would come to be.
