The increasing burden on motorists has fi-na-lly to ensure that the large interest groups of our country have joined forces, and in the Second Room together their middle finger to raise on behalf of the motorist.
We surprise us about for years: time and time again the motorist is further squeezed out as once again it appears that the treasury, army and army touch. And time and time again, there was an organization that said “This is really unfair, shame on government”, but also happened never. However, it seems that those organizations now finally have a front trying to form.
In a joint urgent letter from the Dutch automobile association ANWB, Bovag, VNA and RAI Vereniging, the Second Room is “great alarm” beaten over the increase in taxation that the government is trying to implement for the drivers. By a billion euro extra to want to get through seven measures is the size now really full, according to the organizations. A number of such measures are: higher fines to pay motor vehicle tax, higher excise duties, the new oldtimerregeling, lifting motor vehicle tax exemption for clean vehicles, tax on electric cars, and so on.
Good to see that the forces are the organizations that, the drivers represent. Or it can really make a difference is, however, yet to be seen, our government is not known to the motorist thinking.
