Antwerp local police gassed their own agents

Police officers generally have no easy job, but agents from Antwerp had in the past few years extra heavy. On office Handelsstraat were police officers an overdose of CO2 to process.

The installation of the building to the Commerce of fresh air was proved wrong to have been built, about five years ago. Therefore, there was no outdoor air is sucked in, but air out of the space where police vehicles unattended with the engine running, waiting.

It smelled suspiciously often to exhaust in the police station, and the vents were black. The complaints, however, was not listened to it, and ultimately, the trade union there. Luc Goos of the police union NSPV:

“The zuiginstallatie, that fresh air in the building should blow up, turns out to be connected to the space where police vehicles unattended with the engine running, waiting.”

That explains why agents for years were complaining about unexplained headaches and nausea. The installation has been provisionally suspended and will as soon as possible be adjusted.
