And the best is: the thing works!

Fast overwaaiende fads on the playground, iPads, plastic toys: all the things that Ryan Mueller to present to itself a more than 400 kg(!) weight and 18 hp fully metal-built bulldozer for his offspring to build. At least as cool as the Tumbler-buggy!

The man gives in an interview with Jalopnik that he his children a beautiful and durable toy wanted to give, instead of the usual plastic toys. Mueller, an engineer, spent about 6,000 USD, and at least 1,000 hours (spread over three years) to the project. It’s much cheaper than child-Veyron in any case.

Of course, the mini-Caterpillar no dizzying speeds, but the thought in mind that it is meant for small children that is better also. Up to drive the mini-dozer around 8 km/h, which is still quite what is a colossus of 400 kg. For safety, there are also two kill switches.
