Like we have in the Netherlands (almost) all of them have a thick car with lots of horsepower, but the reality is different. How come we join with the rest of Europe when it comes to the horsepower per nieuwverkochte car?
It will not surprise you, but we are not at the top. There are here only downsize – A – and B-segmenters sold, and that bulge is not determined from the power.
The International Council of Clean Transportation explained the data of 15 EU member states at a glance and came across year 2011 to the following conclusions. Between brackets is the average displacement per car sold is shown:
# 10 France – 81 kW / 110 hp (1.592 cc)
# 9 Ireland – 81 kW / 110 hp (1.598 cc)
# 8 Belgium – 84 kW / 114 hp (1.634 cc)
# 7 Spain – 85 kW / 116 hp (n.b. cc)
# 6 Austria – 87 kW / 118 hp (1.648 cc)
# 5 United Kingdom – 93 kW / 126 hp (1.673 cc)
# 4 Finland – 96 kW / 131 hp (service employs 1 675 cc)
# 3 Germany – 101 kW / 137 hp (1.756 cc)
# 2 Sweden – 102 kW / 139 hp (1.787 cc)
# 1 Luxembourg – 109 kW / 148 hp (1.874 cc)
And The Netherlands?
We fall with 79 kW (eur 1,438 cc) outside the boat. But on the other hand, we also have no mountains to be conquered and, in addition, many controls. And also to the Greeks, Danes and Italians, with even less power than we have, respectively, 70, 72, and 77 hp in their new biscuit tin.
