Voorlopig even niet: GT3 op de 'Ring
After the tragic accident of yesterday, it was decided that the GT3 and GT4 racers won’t be welcome in the Green Hell. A drastic decision with the 24-hour race, mid-may is planned.

That is the decision of the Deutsche Motor Sport Bund. Yesterday died a spectator and got several spectators injured after a Nismo GT3 racer in the audience reached at Flugplatz.

The DMSB has decided that until further notice, cars from the categoriëm SP, SP8, SP8T, SP9, SP10, SP, and SP Pro-X is not admitted to the Nordschleife track of the Nürburgring. The DMSB is investigating how the accident may happen and will as a result of the conclusions of that examination, make recommendations to the circuit to make it safer. Only then will the cars back on the track to be admitted.

Christian Schacht of the DMSB: “We can and want to after an accident of this nature does not proceed to the order of the day. We are all deeply shocked and in mind with the family of the victims. The safety of participants and, in particular, the spectators should have highest priority.”

From 14 to 17 may, would normally the Nürburgring 24 hours taking place, but it is so, but the question of whether that event is still continuing. One thing should be clear: safety must for all, no matter how unlikely a recurrence of this crash may be.
