Going to Audi with this R18 for the 14th time Le Mans win?

In the past fifteen years, Audi has no less than thirteen times Le Mans won, this new R18 e-tron quattro that record is even slightly sharper?

Audi’s performance at Le Mans is impressive, never knew a brand as long as the vierentwintiguursrace to dominate. In 2000, the Audi R8 first across the finish line, and only in 2003 and 2009, was Audi’s victory at, respectively, Bentley and Peugeot. Incidentally, was that Bentley quite closely related to the Audi R8 which that year won. For the photo (CLICK), Audi has all the winning R8’and R18’s put on a list.

During an event in Audi Motorsport’s new headquarters in Neuburg, the brand with the four rings of the R18 e-tron quattro will be presented. The drive is still taken care of by a V6 turbodiesel, assisted by a 200 kW-strong electric motor driving the front wheels of the driving. In total, the car is 1.1 kWh (4MJ) of electricity saving, double as many as last year. Probably will Porsche and Toyota, which last year was 1.7 kWh (6MJ) of battery capacity in their racers, this increase to the maximum allowable of 2.2 kWh (8MJ). Audi chooses to do so deliberately, probably to keep the weight of the R18 e-tron quattro. Incidentally, I hope to myself secretly that Nissan this year with their amazing gift and mainly model year LMP1-racer across the finish line first. This kind of bizarre and unconventional designs deserve just to win.
