It would be with the opening of the new Coentunnel about the delays, but a (too?) sharp calibrated altitude for commercial traffic makes on a daily basis, for closed tubes.

Mainly motorists coming from the north the tunnel looking in the direction of the A10-West near the Coentunnel (a.k.a. Stunteltunnel) with some regularity the hare: almost every day the tubes close because truck drivers with tall vehicles, the tunnel entry, so reports The Telegraph.

Rijkswaterstaat says that it doesn’t need to make how high the altitude is, because the height limit has not changed since the opening of the new tunnel up to four metres has been the rule. But if you for years with your combination that is just slightly too high by the tunnel you can drive then it’s obviously wrong as the new equipment for measuring altitude, the quantity dichtgooit at 4,10 instead of 4.20 metres.

Drivers with their high combination to the traffic lights on red know to get can expect fines of up to 1000 euro. That seems like a hefty penalty, but if you time how much a file will cost if they are actually to easy. Rijkswaterstaat says provisional, no adjustments to do.
