Chinese make electric Beetle-clone with five doors

Look at that. The Beetle is finally practical for families. And also eco-friendly! China, the land of the untamed innovation.

On the First EV Expo, where before we today were faced with a rendered BMW i3-wannabee, this snazzy elektromobiel of VIDOEV to shine. Modeled after the Volkswagen Beetle (A5), and with an extra set of doors. Very useful! That Germans considers itself not yet in the range of models.

And don’t be fooled by that nepchromen uitlaatpijpje right rear. This guy runs completely electricity which is rather brief, powered by a 20 kW (27 hp) strong e-transistor, that receives power from a battery pack under the rear seat.
