The new hybrid X5 xDrive40e has a plug allowing him just 77 g/km emissions, and therefore a fine 14% additional tax liability. And we also have the price for you!
With CO2 emissions of 77 g/km scores the BMW X5 xDrive40e this year is still 14% additional tax liability, even if you have the M sport Package and/or 20-inch alloy wheels tick on the options list. The delivery will start in the second half of september, the starting price is €81.000 euros.
Take the “40” in the type designation with a grain of salt: the BMW X5 xDrive40e has a TwinPower Turbo four-cylinder 2.0-litre petrol engine. This delivers 245 hp), supplemented by an electric motor with 113 hp. The combined power comes in at 313 hp and 450 Nm of torque. A theoretical fuel consumption of 3.3 l/100 km seems to be possible.
The hybrid X5 makes use of the technique that has been developed for the i8. The 8-speed steptronic automatic transmission should make for a seamless cooperation between the combustion engine and the electric drive. The acceleration from 0 to 100 should in 6,8 seconds, is seriously smooth for such a large car.
By default, you’ll find this plug-in SUV (or SAV as BMW calls it) the navigation system Professional, remote with an app-controlled climate control, Adaptive Suspension with air ride rear and Dynamic Damper Control.
