Of all supercars seems to be the Aston Martin Vanquish is the one that a lot of people as first, the door would turn on. Ferrari’s are more for football players, Lamborghini’s, DJ’s and mclaren’s have yet to definitively break through. An Aston Martin is simply much fancier, though he’s in this colour scheme not really subdued.

We often get lost in the range of models of Aston Martin. Just like Audi’s they have a strong family likeness, and in the last few years there were quite some models, and there disappeared also again. A short update, but: the V8 Vantage is the entry-level (but also as a V12), the One-77, the super-exot with dito price tag. The Vanquish falls in between and is the successor of the DBS, which is new not more to get. Eventually, the meaning in terms of chaos, the greatest confusion arose, perhaps, when the Vanquish was succeeded by the DBS, who then was replaced by this Vanquish.

But what is the Vanquish?
A supercar. The V12 delivering 573 hp, you qualified to the guild of supercars to join. The fantastic V12, about which more later, is located in the front, but it is a mid-engine. The entire block is behind the front axle and it drives only the rear wheels. To put it in a sentence to define: a front/mid-engine coupé with a weight at the back tends to with the seats amidships, and an adaptive chassis with double wishbones. The base is simply great and Aston Martin knows quite well how the adjustment should do.

Atmospheric FTW!
No turbos, superchargers or other compressors, but merely a lot of stroke volume. 5,9 litres to be exact and, thanks to a new, more modern engine management is the capacities as a sporthorse increases and increased power and torque. The peak power of 573 hp at 6750 rpm and maximum torque of 620 Nm is achieved at 5500 rpm. The figures say something about the character, this is a real, honest, and wonderfully atmospheric block of the kind where we have less and less of.

Turbos have their advantages, but disadvantages are also there. Watch (or mostly listen to) the video and the calls to use the turbo’s time to hang up is quickly broken down. The V12 sounds fabulous, inside reasonably civilized, but the outside world will get you ahead.

The high rpm at which the maximum torque is released would be as a disadvantage can be seen, but how the V12 in the rpm climbs, and also how linear the power rises, gives little reason to complain. It goes on smoothly as you want, very quickly as you feel like or need and everything in-between if warranted by the circumstances.

A F12 Berlinetta, Aventador and even the 911 Turbo you will have to let you go, but the whole package makes that there is no time pressure. Only the fastest are, is not where it is in a Vanquish is all about, without that you really have to worry about the faster GTI-brigade. The sprint to 100 is the Vanquish in 4.1 seconds and the top speed is 295 km/h. There are more days that I can work with half of that potential, that I 100% need to have.

Everything is really
Loop on an Aston Martin, or even better: take a seat. Everything you see is also real of the material, where it seems to be. Aluminium, chrome, leather, everything is of top quality. This is simply a car that completely love is designed for, and with just as much love with the hand assembled. That brand is you and everything that gives you an incredible feeling of luxury.

Disadvantages
Chairs I had a bit of trouble with, but that may be due to my length. Really sit back, I got not for each other, although the inside and the luggage space is greater. The navigation system was used to come from Volvo (as Ford is the owner of Aston Martin when Volvo was) and did. The system now comes from a different supplier came from and the is still satisfactory, but you will the neighbours are not explicitly going to demonstrate because it is so much of good features. Fortunately, you can buy there is probably no Aston Martin.

Conclusion
The cost of a shoot thick about 3 ton in euros, if you are of those beautiful yellow plates with wish. The driven instance, however, there is one that is “with-the-head-off” at CITO Motors in Eindhoven. Personally, I would have difficulty with the beige interior, but the Volcano Red carbon sheet metal, the Vanquish is fantastic. Movie!
