Sales of green cars plust a lot in Europe

EV’s (plug in) hybrids are going pretty good in Europe. These are the figures.

The sale of so-called alternative fuel vehicles (AFV’s) increased in the EU in Q1 2015 with up to 28.8%, in order to arrive at a whopping 144.421 pieces. Electric cars plusten compared to Q1 2014 117,9%, which means that in Q1 of this year 24.630 EV’s are sold.

Hybrids were also more popular, was the growth in the demand to 21.4%. So there are in Q1 but less than 56.704 of such cars sold. Of Natural Gas Vehicles (cars on LPG or CNG) were 63.087 units sold, an increase of 16.5% compared to Q1 2014.

The largest growth markets within the EU are the United Kingdom (+ 64,2%), France (+ 33,9%), Italy (+ 18,1%) and Germany (+ 11,3%). Norway pluste with 32.7%, again significantly, but the government will probably put an end to the subsidies on EV’s.
