For those who have already months at a new Top Gear-injection is waiting: have patience. A new season is on the way and will be available later this year on the tube. Until that time, we have here a good alternative: James May’s Cars of the People. Wait, this is maybe even better than Top Gear.

May has turned this summer into a three-part series for the BBC in which he, dressed in one of his characteristic bloemetjesshirts, presents a picture of how the car in the course of the years of a luxistendingetje in a product for the masses was transformed. From the earliest days of the automobile until the first cars for the people. A story about how the world fell in love with the car, and how cars suddenly reached were for the middle class. And why this mass-adoption has ensured that you every day for hours on this blog hangs around. Well, that last is not discussed. Furthermore, the docu everything a docu about cars great.
