He comes! The first hot Dacia [Sandero RS]

In 2013, already suggested Renaults designeindbaas Laurens van den Acker, ” affordable sportiness’ in the form of hot Dacia’s what it regards is a good idea. We are now a year and a half further, and actually the first hot Dacia. It is a Sandero, only hot he’s not a Dacia, but Renault, because the model is coming to Latin America (where Renaults budgetwagens as in Russia, just the Renault badge).

Atmospheric 2.0 – 200 hp

Renault’s PR-machine in the western hemisphere pumped already this teaser on the air, and according to the rumors gets the Sandero RS will the freely breathable 2 literblok from the previous Clio RS under the hood, with 200 hp on tap.

The irony of this is that many heethatch-enthusiast, blind to this engine would choose, and not for the new 1.6 turbo with his annoying schakelpiep, so in fact Renault/Dacia a lids nice car, that never-never in its current form to Europe, here are the French very clear about: Elle n’est pas prévue pour la France et pour l’Europe. Sacre Bleu!

We get no Dacia Sandero RS?

That we say not, maybe it comes ever. Expect, however, the previously mentioned 1.6 Turbo, or maybe even a blown 1.2 variant (shockingly downsizeable) under the hood. Because emissions and taxes and EU rules and stuff.
