Amarok vs G-klasse
Day G-class, Day Defender. The Dutch Defence is going to change on the Volkswagen Amarok…

The armed forces will get next 2 years (2014-2015) in total 1667 pick-uptrucks of Volkswagen, reported the ministry of Defence today. That choice is the Dutch taxpayer quite a bit of knaken care, because the Amarok is a lot cheaper than what there is now cruising. But it is also a lot less seriously. That is because the Amarok DC (Double Cab 103kW) not a military vehicle, but a “just” a civilian vehicle. Of course, the new pick-up, however, be slightly adapted to the requirements of the army, but that is going to be small changes. Think of a military radio, wapenklemmen and sjorogen (for air or marine transport).

After Pon/VW the police deal had won, they now have so the army packed. This thing stinks? Or is it just a matter of Well played? For the maintenance (at home and abroad) is now outsourced to Pon, which in the end money need to save for Defense. The services do not have their own engineers to lead. The extensive dealer network of Pon guarantees quick assistance in case of breakdown in the common practise areas including Germany, Norway and Spain.
