Shin Yoshikawa
We already have some attention paid to Shin Yoshikawa, the Japanese who, with the patience of a saint, the most sophisticated, cutaway-drawings. If you want more about the man to know, are these videos a staple.

Some people have a dedication and patience that they are ideally suited for certain occupations: goldsmith or an employee at Rolls-Royce’s bespoke department, for example, but also making cutaways is a matter of long breath. The now 66-year-old all-rounder Shin Yosikawa has this.

Shin has a remarkable appearance; he looks a little kolderiek, with his small stature and his high hair. Behind what the eye sees is a man with many competences: the man is a professional photographer, autorestaurateur, and is also not without merit piano. The petrolheads will him, however, especially to know its insanely detailed auto-trim.

Herein, he is not single-minded: in addition to the Japanese classics, such as the Toyota 2000 GT, where Yoshikawa a few copies of has had (but sold it again) and even a book written, and the Datsun/Nissan 240Z, it also does all sorts of European stuff, like Lancia’s and Porsches. The German manufacturer recognized his qualities recently with a license. How long it takes to get such a detailplaatje? The inking takes 1.5 to 2 months, a time-consuming chore.

Obscura Magazine from Hong Kong went to the California-based Yoshikawa along, and made this beautiful video. A few months ago, the hard-working Japanese is also just there to hang out with Jay Leno, as seen below. Ideal videovoer for drizzling Sunday evening:
