Oppositiegroep Syria want Assad away quickly
GENEVA –
The regime of Syrian president Bashar Assad must be within six months to leave if there is a political transitional period on the way. That requirement comes from the High negotiation committee (HNC), the main Syrian oppositiegroep.
Representatives of the HNC are in Geneva for consultations with the envoy of the United Nations for Syria, Staffan de Mistura. In addition to the requirement to pro-Regime departure sets the HNC that none of the government officials who in recent years were involved in the civil war on their place can remain seated.
,,As soon as there is a transitional period in Syria that started, I don’t think the Syrian people want Assad there is a part of,” said HNC spokesman Salem al-Muslet, in an interview with news agency Bloomberg. ,,Some from the government can be part of it, those who are not at the time of killing were involved. People who have been involved in the killing of Syrians, I do not think that Syrians will accept it.”
