Snelle Turk
Ever Tofaş Şahin heard? That is the barrel with which it is geflikt.

This handy and very positive Turkish gentleman was a sought-after speed demon for the police. All of this plays, by the way, in Turkey, nice and local, but no less fun to write about. Fact remains that Tanju (as he’s called) flashed in a peanut with a speed of 240 km/h. Respect.

He did this in a Tofaş Şahin, the Turkish version of a Fiat uitgepoepte 131, produced until 2010. These are such powerful bombs you ask? The answer is no, but there knew our Turkish boss council. He spooned the 1.9 four-cylinder from a BMW in his jalopy.

How the police this stoerdoener finally has gotten hold of is from the Turkish sources are not clear, but he had his car and his driving licence to hand. Still, mr. very optimistic:

“I am my car and my driving licence lost, but still, I’m happy. I have nothing wrong done. I love my car, just as a mother loves her children.”

That is, of course, the institution where we are on the autoblog editorial staff are all piece for piece of melting; hoedtikwaardig.

Incidentally, floats Tanju Akdogan for a while as a hero with his Tofaş Şahin around on the internet. Check the video below.
