First production NSX delivers more than a million dollars on

If any NSX as much as yields pick them up at Honda, perhaps the development costs out.

But that’s a myth. The very first production-ready NSX went out last weekend under the hammer. The sports model of the Japanese carmaker underwent Alfa Giula-like proportions provoked by postponement, teasers and impatience of the public at large. This spring it finally happened. At least, for the United States. Honda, which is active as Acura in the country, the 573 horsepower NSX sell for a starting price of 156.000 dollar.

NSX #001 yielded slightly more. 1.2 million dollars was there by Rick Hendrick offered to the first production model in their hands. The hammering tapped and the 66-year-old NASCAR boss was the owner of the car. The best man flings often with money at auctions and also this time with success. The money will be donated to the two charities Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation and the Camp Southern Ground. The former is a fund for children with brain tumors. The second fund organizes camps for kids with social problems and trauma.

Americans from 25 February place their order for the new NSX. The intention is that the model later this year under the Honda badge, and also to Europe.
